Description

Negen gemeenten kopen sinds 2023 samen energie (elektriciteit en aardgas) in via het regionaal aanbestede energiecontract met Greenchoice. Gemeente Meierijstad is daarvoor penvoerder. Met dit contract voorzien we o.a. het gemeentelijk vastgoed, rioolpompen en - gemalen, openbare verlichting en evenementenaansluitingen van energie. Een belangrijk doel binnen dit contract is om toe te groeien naar 100% regionaal en duurzaam opgewekte elektriciteit in 2030. De kans doet zich voor om de komende 20 jaar windenergie af te gaan nemen uit twee - nog te bouwen - windturbines in Oss; project Elzenburg - De Geer. Daarmee stijgt het aandeel duurzaam en regionaal opgewekte elektriciteit van 40% naar 80% voor alle deelnemende organisaties. Deze stroom heeft een vaste prijs, waardoor de organisaties ook stabielere elektriciteitskosten hebben voor de komende 20 jaar. Om de elektriciteitsafname uit deze molens te regelen, is het tekenen van een aantal overeenkomsten nodig. De twee molens gaan jaarlijks tussen 23 en 31 miljoen kWh opwekken. Op basis van marktonderzoek kan gesteld worden dat de prijzen welke in rekening worden gebracht per kWh marktconform zijn. Afname windenergie windpark Elzenburg - De Geer
