Het SDL aan de Kapteynweg is een Mavo/Havo-school van ca. 8.117 m2 BVO met 3 eigen gymzalen uit bouwjaar 1981. De locatie telt in schooljaar 2023-2024 965 leerlingen. Voor de (ver)nieuwbouw zal 1.038 leerlingen aangehouden worden. Uit een haalbaarheidsonderzoek is gebleken dat vernieuwbouw van het huidige onderwijsgebouw en nieuwbouw van de 3 gymzalen, de beste optie is gebleken voor deze school. Met vernieuwbouw wordt grootschalige renovatie bedoeld, waar enkel het casco gehandhaafd blijft. 8297 m2 BVO
