Programma Metronet 2.0 Metronet 2.0 bundelt de grote ontwikkelingen die nodig zijn om het metrosysteem toekomstbestendig te maken. Het programma kent drie hoofdopgaven: -Nieuwe Metrovoertuigen -Capaciteit Verhogen (rijden op de E-lijn en C-lijn met hogere frequentie) -Vernieuwen Werkplaats Waalhaven Capaciteit Verhogen De scope van het deelprogramma Capaciteit Verhogen bestaat hoofdzakelijk uit de infrastructuur aanpassen om in de spits een hogere metrofrequentie mogelijk te maken. Voor de E-lijn is april 2031 de bepalende mijlpaal; voor de C-lijn is dat december 2032. Het programma bestaat uit meerdere deelprojecten, waaronder tractie- en energievoorziening, overwegen, geluid, emplacementen en kunstwerken. Het deelproject Kunstwerken richt zich op de vraag of bruggen, viaducten, duikers en aanverwante constructies de toekomstige gebruiksintensiteit veilig en duurzaam kunnen faciliteren. De studiefase voor de in scope zijnde kunstwerken in het RET Metronetwerk vormt de schakel tussen de programmatische risicoanalyse en de voorbereiding van concrete maatregelen. De resultaten worden gebruikt voor besluitvorming over onderhoud, herstel, versterking en vervanging en vormen waar nodig de basis voor vervolgende ontwerp- en realisatieopdrachten. Een vroegtijdig en betrouwbaar oordeel is essentieel, omdat complexe maatregelen een lange voorbereidingstijd, vergunningentrajecten en buitendienststellingen kunnen vragen.
