Momenteel neemt de gemeente Land van Cuijk een collectieve zorgverzekering voor minima bij VGZ af. Dit willen wij graag continueren, zodat inwoners met een laag inkomen (maximaal 120% van het wettelijk minimum) hier gebruik van kunnen blijven maken. De doelgroep bestaat uit een kwetsbare groep mensen waarvoor de overstap van zorgverzekering een risico betekent. Zij kunnen als gevolg van financiële stress niet altijd goed overzien wat van hen gevraagd wordt en wat de consequenties van bepaalde keuzes zijn. Overstappen van zorgverzekering kan leiden tot verlies van deelnemers, die daardoor risico kunnen lopen op onverwacht hoge zorgkosten, met financiële problemen als gevolg. Daarnaast zal het organiseren van een goede overgang van VGZ naar een eventuele nieuwe contractpartner naar verwachting veel extra inzet vragen, die momenteel niet beschikbaar is.
