Het nieuwe kindcentrum Zijdelwaard huisvest een breed spectrum aan functies en organisaties, waaronder een basisschool, internationale taal klas, medisch orthopedagogisch centrum, peuterspeelzaal, kinderopvang, buitenschoolse opvang en een jeugdontmoetingsplek. Het kindcentrum wordt een multifunctionele voorziening waar leren, opvang, ondersteuning en ontmoeting samenkomen. Het moet een laagdrempelige, toekomstbestendige en veilige plek worden voor kinderen, ouders, professionals en de wijk. De werkzaamheden bestaan uit: - het-maken van het uitvoeringsgereed ontwerp voor bouw, installaties en terreininrichting; - het circulair slopen van de bestaande basisschool De Vuurvogel en bouwrijp maken van de locatie voor de nieuwbouw van het kindcentrum; - het realiseren van de nieuwbouw voor het kindcentrum Zijdelwaard, zowel bouwkundig, installatietechnisch als ook de terreininrichting. Het nieuw te realiseren kindcentrum Zijdelwaard heeft een omvang van 3.220 m2bvo.
