Description

Het betreft een levering van 8 stuks Charge Air Bypass Valve, waarvan er 6 naar de voorraad gaan. Deze zijn later benodigd voor het onderhoud van de Holland Klasse. Deze Charge Air Bypass Valve zijn de vervanger van de oude Bypass Valves, echter is dit geen 1 op 1 vervanger. Dit betekent dat de motor aangepast moet worden, om de speciaal voor defensie ontworpen Charge Air Bypass Valves te kunnen installeren. Er zijn geen alternatieve onderdelen om de Charge Air Bypass Valves te vervangen en het oude artikel wordt niet meer geproduceerd. Alternatieven van andere leveranciers kunnen niet getoetst worden op werking binnen deze motor, want de gehele motoropbouw met de gedane modificaties is alleen bij OEM bekend. De Charge Air Bypass Valve is een essentieel onderdeel van de motor. Deze koelt de uitlaat gassen voor de motor, zodoende blijft de motor functioneren, zonder de Bypass Valve kan de motor niet functioneren en kan de motor nog maar 40% van zijn capaciteit gebruiken. Dus om de juiste werking van de motor te garanderen en te zorgen dat de schepen wendbaar en inzetbaar blijven, is het van belang dat de Bypass Valve besteld wordt bij OEM.
