Description

Con DGRV n. 1308 del 23/07/2013 la Regione Veneto ha approvato il “Progetto di esecuzione dello screening neonatale allargato”, rivolto ai neonati veneti, con l’obiettivo di identificare alla nascita eventuali patologie metaboliche inserite nell’allegato A della suddetta deliberazione e di prevenire, mediante idoneo trattamento, l’insorgere della relativa sintomatologia. Il progetto di screening neonatale allargato individua l’Azienda Ospedale-Università Padova quale struttura di riferimento regionale per la sua attuazione, con il coinvolgimento, dal 01/01/2014, del Laboratorio di Malattie Metaboliche Ereditarie, quale centro unico per la raccolta e l’esecuzione dei test sui neonati delle province di Padova, Venezia, Treviso e Belluno, cui si sono aggiunti, da aprile 2016, tramite apposite convenzioni, i punti nascita della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia. Tra le attività necessarie per l’esecuzione del progetto rientra il servizio di trasporto dei campioni biologici, ritirati quotidianamente presso i punti nascita e consegnati presso il Laboratorio Malattie Metaboliche Ereditarie dell’Azienda Ospedale-Università Padova.
