An Italian contracting authority is carrying out a preliminary market consultation concerning the supply of equipment for the Electric Impulse Weapons (AIE) sector. The procurement covers 23,250 operational cartridges, 5,000 battery packs, 3,500 holsters (2,000 right-hand and 1,500 left-hand), 200 data export cables, on-site functional assessments of 2,600 Taser X2 devices already in the logistics cycle, 200 UV-A torches with protective glasses for detecting cracks in the polymer frame, 167 three-year licences of the 'Evidence Symc Cloud' software including routers, 5G connectivity and a three-year subscription, plus 18 basic on-site maintenance courses and 1 advanced 'train the trainer' course.
