The walkway is a pathway of approximately 220m running from Marine Cove in the village of Foynes to the hilltop overlooking Foynes, marked by a Celtic Cross dedicated to Stephen Edmund Spring-Rice. The monument is a Protected Structure and is listed on the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH). The procedure is a Prequalification Questionnaire (PQQ) to identify suitable contractors.
