Description

The aim of this contract is to contribute to the data collection campaign for a project that investigates the role of private market actors, more specifically agro-dealers and agroecological service providers (ASPs), in strengthening the agroecological transition among smallholder farmers in West Kenya. The project will build on the private market engagement under the EU-funded KCEP-CRAL/BOOST project as a case-study. The data collection will target different types of actors, including agro-dealers, ASPs, farmers and other KCEP-CRAL/BOOST-project stakeholders, and involve different types of data collection instruments, including structured surveys, a mystery shopping exercise, in-depts and semi-structured interviews. The contractor will be responsible for designing and implementing a data collection campaign, selection, training and supervision of enumerators for the survey, and delivering cleaned survey and interview data. This contract is necessary to support the project’s objectives and requires specialized expertise and services to collect both quantitative and qualitative data among different types of actors and to effectively manage and coordinate the data collection campaign, ultimately contributing to the Commission’s goal of promoting sustainable agriculture and food systems in Africa, as well as supporting the Global Gateway agenda for investments in agrifood supply chains.
