Inselspital, the University Hospital of Bern, currently operates door control via two separate systems: the ZUKO access control system, which restricts entry to authorised persons, and the building automation system, which manages other door functions such as door position display, time schedules and open commands. As the building automation system has reached end of life and will be replaced, the door control functions are to be migrated away from it. All door functions should in future be controlled and monitored through the 'SIPORT' ZUKO system from Siemens, with visualisation and control via the 'DESIGO CC' management level, also from Siemens.
