Das historische Gradierwerk I im Kurpark von Bad Westernkotten wurde im Jahr 1835 errichtet, steht seit 1984 als technisches Denkmal unter Denkmalschutz und ist das größte Kurpark-Gradierwerk in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Aufgrund seines Alters und materialbedingter Abnutzung zeigt das Bauwerk erhebliche Verschleißerscheinungen an der Holzträgerkonstruktion sowie den Schwarzdorn Reisigwänden. Umfang der Leistung Ziel des Vorhabens ist eine umfassende, denkmalgerechte Sanierung, Modernisierung und touristische Attraktivierung des Bauwerks. Neben dem konstruktiven Erhalt stehen die langfristige Sicherung der Freiluftinhalation sowie eine ökologische und barrierefreie Aufwertung im Fokus des Auftraggebers.
