France - Pipeline installation works - Renewal of a DN400 double-envelope steel district heating line with vacuum insulation

A French contracting authority is procuring works to renew the supply pipe of the district heating network in the Metz East sector. The DN400 line operates between 95C and 160C at a pressure of 25 bar. The renewal covers the complete replacement of three sections of 500m, 800m and 450m, the last two being conditional options. Works include studies, earthworks, removal and evacuation of the existing pipe, tube supply, tests and commissioning. Half of the site is under roads, half in green space. Replacement is planned between May and October 2027 and 2028. Bids are expected from a consortium combining civil engineering, a client-accredited tube supplier and an installer for laying, welding and sleeving.
