France's grid operator Enedis is buying air-core shunt reactor coils rated 5 or 10 MVAr at 15 or 20 kV. The framework contract starts with a firm tranche covering studies, qualification and supply of coils to equip two source substations for an experimentation phase. A conditional second tranche covers series supply after experimentation, activated once Enedis approves the studies without observations and issues a temporary employment authorisation. The contract includes sets of three air-core shunt reactor coils (4 items), spare parts consisting of single reactor coils (4 items), and 7 optional items: noise reduction, storage before delivery, vertical installation, on-site assembly, bird protection, elevation feet and reduced footprint. Up to about 530 articles may be ordered over the contract's total duration, and EDF SEI and Electricite de Strasbourg may use the negotiated commercial terms.
