Con objeto de reducir el riesgo de inundación en el casco urbano de Los Alcázares, se procede al diseño de un sistema hidráulico compuesto por 2 fases. En esta fase 2 se procede a la contratación de las obras de un parque inundable captador de escorrentías que llegan a la población de Los Alcázares a través de cuatro grupos de obras de drenaje transversal, en la autopista AP-7, y laminar en caso de episodios extremos, reduciendo la carga de sólidos que pueda llegar al Mar Menor
