Description

La instalación n_TOF del CERN es la fuente de neutrones con mayor intensidad instantánea para la medida de secciones eficaces neutrónicas. La Unidad de Innovación Nuclear del CIEMAT junto con otros grupos españoles (IFIC-CSIC, UPC y US), participan en la colaboración n_TOF del CERN. Las líneas de actividad propuestas por el CIEMAT contemplan la construcción y uso de nuevos detectores para la medida de secciones eficaces en las áreas experimentales EAR2 y NEAR de n_TOF. La inclusión de estos detectores en los experimentos requiere la ampliación del sistema de adquisición para gestionar el creciente número de detectores. Por ello, es necesaria la adquisición por parte de CIEMAT de 13 tarjetas digitalizadoras de altas prestaciones similares a las que componen el sistema de adquisición del experimento n_TOF, que permitan incrementar la adquisición de datos durante los experimentos.
