En la zona turística de Maspalomas, municipio de San Bartolomé de Tirajana, se han detectado la pérdida de autenticidad percibida debido a la masificación del destino y una débil resiliencia turística del destino debido principalmente a la fuerte estacionalidad del turismo internacional y la escasa diversificación de tipología de turistas según motivación del viaje.
