Description

La Administración está obligada a garantizar la asistencia sanitaria a todos sus trabajadores, ya sea a través de la Seguridad Social o a través de un contrato de seguros, cuando lo anterior no sea posible. Mientras que en el territorio de la Unión Europea la asistencia sanitaria se encuentra garantizada no ocurre lo mismo en muchos de los países extracomunitarios donde la Administración dispone de Representaciones, Oficinas, Delegaciones y demás dependencias. Es en este marco donde aparece la necesidad de garantizar la asistencia sanitaria tanto de los trabajadores que prestan servicios en el exterior como de todo el personal que viaje a dichos países en comisiones de servicio de la Administración, al no poder acceder durante los viajes de trabajo a la asistencia a la que tendría derecho en España. Personal funcionario o laboral de la Administración, encuadrado en el Régimen General de la Seguridad Social española, que preste servicios en las Representaciones de España fuera del territorio de la Unión Europea, del Espacio Económico Europeo, Reino Unido, Suiza y Andorra, así como sus beneficiarios reconocidos como tales por la Seguridad Social española.; Personal laboral de la Administración no afiliado a la Seguridad Social española, que preste servicios en las Representaciones de España fuera del territorio de la UE, el EEE, Reino Unido, Suiza, Andorra y EEUU, así como sus beneficiarios
