Development of Additive Manufacturing Inspection Methods and Measurement Assurance Services

NPL Management Limited awarded a contract for specialist research and technical services to develop and validate inspection methodologies for additive manufacturing build plates. The work includes developing prototype inspection methods, evaluating and reporting measurement uncertainty, preparing standard operating procedures, supporting implementation of new inspection routines and delivering final technical reporting. The contract was won by the University of Huddersfield. The aim is to enhance inspection capability, measurement confidence and process control in additive manufacturing applications.
