Gemäß § 49a Brandenburgisches Straßengesetz (BbgStrG) ist die Gemeinde Schönefeld zur Schneeräumung und Glättebekämpfung auf öffentlichen Straßen, Wegen und Plätzen verpflichtet. Ziel ist die sichere Nutzung von Geh- und Radwegen, Schulwegen sowie Bushaltestellen im Gemeindegebiet während der Wintermonate zur Vermeidung von Verkehrsgefährdungen. Die Leistungen umfassen das maschinelle und manuelle Räumen von Schnee sowie das Abstumpfen (Streuen) bei winterlicher Witterung.
