Summary

Machine-generated summary

Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, purchasing unit Einkauf B12, awarded a contract for one high-resolution SAXS/WAXS system for small- and wide-angle X-ray scattering, used to characterise nanoscale structures in solid and liquid samples, thin films and gels, including polymers, biomaterials, pharmaceutical formulations and nanomaterials, with a focus on pore structure of carbon fibres. The system includes a microfocus Cu-Kα X-ray source, high-purity X-ray optics, automated collimation, a motorised XYZ sample chamber, a 2D hybrid photon counting detector and control software. The contract was awarded to Xenocs SAS. An option covers a stage for automated sample movement in the z-direction.
