Description

Beschafft werden soll ein hochauflösendes Massenspektrometer (timsTOF HT LC-MS System). Mit diesem Gerät sollen im Institut für Chemie und Biologie des Meeres (ICBM) schwerpunktmäßig sogenannte Komplexom-Analysen des Photosyntheseapparates (u.a. Organelle) des Modell Dinoflagellaten Prorocentrum cordatum und mittel-bis-langfristig marine Metaprotemik auf international kompetitivem Niveau durchgeführt werden. Im Rahmen des Projekts sind umfangreiche Messkampagnen mit jeweils hunderten von Proben geplant. Eine Besonderheit des Modellorganismus ist das außergewöhnlich große Genom, welches ein hochkomplexes und dynamisches Proteom kodiert (>81,000 Proteine). Um sowohl diese intra-organismische Komplexität, als auch die außerordentlich hohe Komplexität von Umweltproben (große organismische Diversität, sehr niedrige ProteinAbundanz gekoppelt mit hoher Protein Diversität) abzubilden ist ein Massenspektrometer mit höchster Massengenauigkeit und Robustheit notwendig. Das MS Gerät muss online gekoppelt sein an eine höchst zuverlässige nanoLC mit stabilster Pump- und Trennleistung. Die eingehende Marktrecherche (inkl. Expertenerfahrungen, Firmenbesuche, und Probemessungen) ergab die eindeutig beste Eignung des timsTOF HT Massenspektrometers der Firma Bruker GmbH.
