The devices will be used to analyse a wide range of samples, including small and weakly scattering crystals, natural products for determining absolute configuration, strongly absorbing crystals, crystals with large unit cells or modulated structures, twin crystals, explosive and air- or moisture-sensitive samples, liquid or gaseous samples for in-situ crystallisation, supramolecular systems, and polypeptides and proteins.
