Description

Beschaffung eines Elektronenmikroskops Erwerb eines FE (Field Emission) - ESEM (Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope). Die Untersuchung anorganischer und organischer Aerosolpartikel mit elektronenmikroskopischen Methoden bei hoher Ortsauflösung im Mikrometer- bis Nanometerbereich erfordert auf Grund ihrer oft flüchtigen und empfindlichen Struktur Niedervakuumbedingungen und Kontrolle über den H2O-Partialdruck, die nur in einem FE-ESEM vorliegen. Darüber hinaus ist die Ausstattung des Gerätes mit einer beheizbaren Probenbühne (bis zu 1400 °C) in Kombination mit einem Einlass für Reaktionsgase (CO2, NO2, O2-angereicherte Gasgemische) unabdingbar, um die fundamentale Reaktionskinetik von Kohlenstoffoberflächen und Kohlenstoff-Partikeln in verschiedenen Druck- und Temperaturbereichen mittels Elektronenmikroskopie in Kombination mit energiedispersiver Röntgenspektroskopie (EDX) zu untersuchen. Über die einzigartige „ESEM“-Funktionalität hinaus erfüllt das Quattro S ESEM auch die Voraussetzungen für routinemässige präzise elektronenmikroskopische Untersuchungen unter Hochvakuumbedingungen. Das analytisches Quattro S ESEM von ThermoFisher Scientific stellt das derzeit einzige am Markt verfügbare ESEM dar.
