The town of Hoerstel intends to procure the replacement construction of the St. Antonius primary school in Hoerstel-Bevergern as a permanently designed timber or timber-hybrid modular building. The new two-stream primary school will be built on the existing schoolyard and will operate as a cluster school including all-day area, canteen, administration and assembly hall. The contract covers planning, manufacture, transport, fit-out, technical building services, outdoor facilities partly needed for access, commissioning and documentation. The building must be barrier-free, up to three storeys, energy standard Efficiency Building 40, with heat pump, photovoltaics and building automation connected to the buyer's existing control system. The existing school remains in operation during construction.
