Description

Die Stadt Freiberg am Neckar beabsichtigt, ihr in den 1970er-Jahren entstandenes Stadtzentrum grundlegend weiterzuentwickeln. Das bestehende Zentrum entspricht funktional, gestalterisch und strukturell nicht mehr den heutigen Anforderungen. Mit dem Neubau der Oscar-Paret-Schule (Fertigstellung 2022) und dem geplanten Abriss des Altbaus ab 2028 entstehen zentrale Entwicklungsflächen. Der Gemeinderat hat Ende 2024 den städtebaulichen Entwurf für das "Neue Stadtzentrum" gebilligt. Die bauliche Umsetzung soll ab 2028 schrittweise erfolgen. Ziel ist die Entwicklung eines urbanen, gemischt genutzten und klimaangepassten Stadtzentrums mit: - langlebiger und ansprechende Architektur - klarer räumlicher Struktur, - hoher Aufenthaltsqualität, - starker Funktionsmischung, - weitgehend autofreier innerer Mitte, - nachhaltigem Mobilitätskonzept, - langfristig tragfähiger baulicher Struktur. - Adressbildung nach außen
