Das Krankenhaus-Informations-System (KIS) der Firma Nexus ist das zentrale Bestandsystem der 10 LVR-Kliniken. Es wird seit über 25 Jahren eingesetzt. Im Jahr 2021 wurde das Applikationsmanagement des Nexus KIS und der durch Nexus lizensierten Subsysteme im LVR an den Hersteller Nexus im Rahmen eines Managed Service-Vertrages vergeben. LVR-Infokom ist für den Plattformbetrieb zuständig. Dieser Managed Service Vertrag wird nun verlängert.
