An den Berufsbildenden Schulen Neustadt am Rübenberge wird für die technisch- gewerblichen Metall- und Elektroberufe eine für Schulungszwecke geeignete, im Folgenden als "Smart Factory" bezeichnete Modellfabrik ausgeschrieben. Die Investition folgt der Zielstellung, Lerninhalte der Digitalisierung der Produktion wie die Programmierung von Komponenten der Feldbustechnik, Steuerungstechnik, Vernetzung, Bedienen, Beobachten und Simulieren sowie Augmented Reality als typische Prozesse der Metall- und Elektroberufe im Unterricht abzubilden. Weiterhin ist die neue Produktionsanlage mit einer zukunftsweisenden KI-basierten Computer-VisionTechnologie zu versehen. Die Smart Factory besteht ENTWEDER aus einer Produktionsanlage mit 12 unterschiedlichen Fertigungsstationen ODER aus zwei gleichen, jeweils sechs Fertigungsstationen umfassenden Produktionsanlagen. Jede Fertigungsstation besteht aus einem Transportsystem als "Unterbau" und einem Fertigungsaufsatz, welcher den jeweiligen Fertigungsschritt durchführt. Die Fertigungsaufsätze müssen mit geringem Aufwand (elektrische und pneumatische Steckverbindungen, mechanische Verbindung durch Montagewinkel, schraubbar) demontierbar sein, damit die Produktionsanlage in neuer Konfiguration zusammengestellt werden kann. Die Anlage muss ein Produkt aus mindestens drei, verschiedenen, verschieden farbigen Teilkomponenten zusammenbauen.
