The City of Essen has awarded a contract for screed works for a new comprehensive school. The project involves a new six-form comprehensive school, a triple sports hall, two single sports halls and ancillary facilities at Erbslöhstraße in the Altenessen-Süd district, planned due to rising pupil numbers. The works include about 20,000 m2 of floating cement screed with ternary binder, about 1,700 m2 of screed coatings and about 700 m2 of concrete coatings for floor, wall and ceiling. The contract was won by Gökser Fußbodentechnik Bau GmbH for EUR 1,105,402.63, which is 39% below the estimated value of EUR 1,805,439.20.
