NETINERA Deutschland GmbH is conducting a market consultation ahead of a planned public procurement of new trains for cross-border regional passenger services on the Munich to Prague route, serving Germany and Czechia. Concepts of interest include multiple units and locomotive-hauled trainsets, where manufacturers may offer coaches or locomotives separately. Vehicles must meet all requirements of the tender by the Bavarian Eisenbahngesellschaft (BEG) and the Czech Ministry of Transport, including operation on electrified and non-electrified lines. Service start is planned for December 2031, with delivery and full approval at least three months beforehand. Full vehicle requirements are available on request by email.
