Im Rahmen des Projektes ResNRJwater (INTERREG Nordwesteuropa 2021-2027, https://resnrjwater.nweurope.eu/) soll mit einer wissenschaftlichen Machbarkeitsstudie geprüft werden, inwieweit zwei kommunale Kläranlagen als integrierte Energiedrehscheiben entwickelt werden können. Ziel ist es, ein übertragbares Strom-, Wärme- und Vertragsmodell zu erarbeiten, das die jeweiligen technischen und infrastrukturellen Gegebenheiten berücksichtigt, wirtschaftlich tragfähig ist und ökologische Anforderungen erfüllt. Im Fokus stehen dabei insbesondere: die Bewertung und Optimierung bestehender und potenzieller Energieinfrastruktur, die Analyse von Speicher- und Verteilungsmöglichkeiten, die Konzeption resilienter Betriebsstrategien, die Konzeption prozesstechnischer Verfahrensweisen im Bereich der Abwasser- und Schlammbehandlung sowie die Entwicklung geeigneter Vertragsmodelle zur Einbindung externer Akteure und zur rechtssicheren Umsetzung im kommunalen Kontext.
