The City of Frankfurt am Main, together with HFM Managementgesellschaft für Hafen und Markt (HFM), is procuring structural inspections of riverbank enclosures along the Main river in Frankfurt am Main in 2026. The scope covers approximately 25 km of riverbank enclosures, including around 20 km of riverbank walls, plus areas of stone embankments and natural slopes. For the city's own structures, a main structural examination (Bauwerksprüfung) is required, while for HFM harbour facilities a simpler monitoring check (Bauwerksüberwachung) applies, in line with DIN 1076.
