IT-Supportservices für die städtischen Schulen Das Lernen mit neuen Medien erfordert eine Infrastruktur, die leistungsfähig, dauerhaft verfügbar und zukunftsorientiert ist. Die Aufgabe der Schulträger ist es dabei, die Rahmenbedingungen dafür zu schaffen. Die Stadt Rheda-Wiedenbrück als Schulträgerin verfolgt bereits seit Jahren ebendiesen Ansatz und lässt IT-Services für die Schulen in städtischer Trägerschaft in externer Dienstleistung erbringen. Die Fortentwicklung der schulischen IT-Services zum Shared Service Center / managed services bietet die Alternative; statt heterogener Services definierte Dienstleistungen anzubieten. Der aktuelle Servicevertrag läuft aus. Die Stadt beabsichtigt nun, einen Anschlussvertrag am Markt in transparentem Wettbewerb neu zu beschaffen für eine festgeschriebene Servicelaufzeit. Die Ausschreibung soll den gesamten Schul-IT-Support beinhalten sowie die Administration aller mobilen Endgeräte. Insgesamt soll der IT-Support der Schülernetzwerke sowie der Verwaltungsnetzwerke für die beiden Gymnasien, eine Gesamtschule, eine Realschule und 10 Grundschulen der Stadt ausgeschrieben werden.
