The contracting authority is procuring the careful, conservation-based dismantling, packing and temporary storage of historic timber floors at Friedenstein Palace in Gotha. Because of structural damage, the classical parquet floors with border strips, plus the underlying subfloors, in part of the state rooms on the second floor must be lifted and stored before static strengthening works. Services include cleaning, numbering and mapping of elements, documentation of the existing condition and the works carried out, relocation of already stored elements, and transport within the building and to an external depot in Thuringia. Quantities: about 435 sqm parquet, 438 sqm subfloors, 162 linear metres of wall panelling and 197 linear metres of skirting boards. Works run from 01/2027 to 04/2027, phased by room areas.
