Die wesernetz Bremen GmbH plant den Neubau des 110 kV Umspannwerks Werderland in Bremen. Das Projekt umfasst die Errichtung einer neuen 110 kV Schaltanlage einschließlich aller erforderlichen Nebenanlagen sowie die Anbindung an das bestehende 110 kV Freileitungsnetz der wesernetz und die künftige 380 kV Schaltanlage von TenneT. Das Umspannwerk übernimmt künftig eine zentrale Funktion für die regionale Energieversorgung und Netzstabilität. Besondere Bedeutung hat die koordinierte Umsetzung der Schnittstellen zwischen wesernetz, TenneT und dem Stahlwerk Bremen. Die wesernetz Bremen GmbH führt vor Einleitung eines förmlichen Vergabeverfahrens eine unverbindliche Markterkundung gemäß § 26 SektVO durch. Ziel ist es, den relevanten Anbietermarkt besser zu verstehen und Erkenntnisse zu geeigneten Vergabestrukturen, Projektabwicklungsmodellen, Vorlaufzeiten sowie wesentlichen technischen, terminlichen und organisatorischen Risiken zu gewinnen. Die Markterkundung dient ausschließlich der Informationsgewinnung und stellt weder ein Vergabeverfahren noch eine Aufforderung zur Abgabe eines Angebots oder Teilnahmeantrags dar.
