Deutsche Bahn awarded works for the Wendlingen Tunnel on the Wendlingen-Ulm new line. The contract covers a mined tunnel of one tube about 662.5 m built using shotcrete method with divided crown and bench/invert advance, a tunnel section in open construction of one tube about 20 m including walls, ceiling and backfill, an embankment about 140 m long with about 12,000 m3 of volume, and a cutting about 120 m long with a maximum depth of 10 m. The works also include disposal and reuse of excavated material, drainage and cable infrastructure, and foundations for overhead line masts. The contract was awarded on 2022-10-07 by DB Projekt Stuttgart-Ulm GmbH (Bukr 5S).
