Die Gemeinde Wasbek beabsichtigt die Erweiterung eines Feuerwehrgerätehauses (ca. 1.000 m² BGF) und die Neuordnung der Flächen des Gemeindezentrums (ca. 300-400 m² BGF) mit den Räumlichkeiten für die gemeindliche Nutzung, der Märchenbühne, der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr und einer Wohnung. Auch ein Neubau wäre möglich. Im Rahmen der Wettbewerbsaufgabe (als Realisierungsteil) soll geprüft werden, inwieweit die vorhandene Bausubstanz (bestehendes Feuerwehrgerätehaus und Räume des Gemeindezentrums) ganz oder teilweise integriert und umgebaut oder auch entfernt werden kann. Abgängig ist das benachbarte Gebäude der ehemaligen Meierei, deren Grundstücksflächen in die Planung mit einbezogen werden sollen. Da es sich beim Wettbewerbsgebiet um die Ortsmitte handelt, sollen die nördlich der Hauptstraße liegenden privaten Grundstücksflächen in Form eines Ideenteils in die Betrachtung mit einbezogen werden, um Anregungen für eine stimmige langfristige städtebauliche Entwicklung zu erhalten. Die Ausloberin wird gemäß Ziff. 8.2. RPW 2013 bei der Umsetzung des Projektes einen der Preisträger unter Berücksichtigung der Empfehlung des Preisgerichtes mit weiteren Planungsleistungen gemäß § 34 HOAI 2021, LPH 2-9, beauftragen, sofern kein wichtiger Grund entgegensteht. Die Ausloberin behält sich eine stufenweise Beauftragung vor.
