Germany - Activated carbon - Activated carbon replacement for leachate treatment

This tender covers the supply of 200,000 kg of reactivated activated carbon, delivered on demand, as an operating material for a landfill leachate treatment plant. The plant is hydraulically designed for 500 m3 per day and load-designed for 389 m3 per day; average inflow over the last three years was 270 m3 per day at 1777 mg/L COD, combining landfill leachate, gas station condensate and concentrate from groundwater treatment. Delivery is by silo vehicle without a transfer container, with couplings adapted to the buyer's specifications. The carbon must meet defined parameters for type, bulk density, pore volume, BET surface, pressure loss, transfer duration and water consumption. Discharge limits of 400 mg/L COD and 0.5 mg/L AOX apply.
