I henhold til PFAS-handlingsplanen skal Miljøstyrelsens Kemikalieinspektion sætte fokus på kontrol af regulerede PFAS’er, herunder gennemføre kontrolanalyser for regulerede PFAS’er i både faste og flydende materialer. Formålet med opgaven er at understøtte Miljøstyrelsens kontrolindsats ved at dokumentere, om udvalgte produkter overholder gældende lovgivning vedrørende PFAS-indhold.De faste og flydende materialer, der skal sættes fokus på, er følgende:Faste materialer, fx. tekstiler, sko, tæpper, regntøj og lignende.Flydende materialer, fx. brandskum, imprægneringsmidler og lignende. Kemikalieinspektionen vil kontrollere udvalgte produkter for deres indhold af en række perfluoralkyl- og polyfluoralkylstoffer (PFAS’er), der er reguleret i REACH-forordningen, POP-forordningen, PFAS-bekendtgørelsen om brandslukningsskumkoncentrat, bekendtgørelse om PFAS-imprægneringsmidler og EU-forordningen om PFAS i brandslukningsskum.
