Entreprisen er en del af projektet 40400 Udbygning af rute 15 Ringkøbing - Herning, som indgår i Infrastrukturplan 2035. Entreprisen ligger delvist i Ringkøbing-Skjern Kommune og delvist i Herning Kommune, og den omfatter i hovedtræk etablering af motortrafikvej, kommuneveje og stier samt bygværker. Der indgås i første omgang en entrepriseaftale om fremskudte arbejder, idet hovedparten af arbejderne udgør en option i entrepriseaftalen. Efter gennemførelse af en projektoptimeringsfase indgås aftale om optionen, medmindre én af parterne ønsker at benytte sig af exit-klausulen. Entrepriseaftalen omfatter en incitamentsordning vedr. entreprisesummen, som giver entreprenøren mulighed for at få udbetalt en bonus under forudsætning af, at nogle nærmere angivne vilkår er opfyldt.
