Záměrem stavby je modernizace stávajícího nevyhovujícího stavebně technického stavu silnice II/337 v řešeném úseku. Začátek zájmového úseku silnice II/324 je situován na hranici předešlé úpravy v blízkosti začátku / konce obce Hrobice ve směru na Hradec Králové. Konec zájmového úseku silnice II/324 je situován před stávající okružní křižovatkou s III/2985 a III/0362 v obci Staré Hradiště, celková délka je 4 996m.
