Description

The works comprise of the following: - Earthworks - includes removal of peat, glazier till and fractured rock. - Peat Storage - all removed peat is to be stored in bespoke constructed bays for reuse during closed cell restoration. - Unsaturated Zone - place free draining infill material to form cell base above groundwater level. - Perimeter Bunds - place free draining infill material to form cell perimeter bunds. - Mineral Barrier - place Bentonite Enriched Soil (BES) on cell base. - Basal Liner - place High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) liner on cell base. - Leachate Drainage - place clean aggregate as a drainage blanket on basal liner. - Leachate Collection - place collection chambers and transfer pipework. - Mechanical & Electrical - place electrical cable ducts, pumps, controls and lighting The buyer is using PCS-Tender to conduct this ITT exercise.
