IVAGO intends to purchase 6 high-quality medium-sized street sweepers for street cleaning operations in Ghent and surrounding areas. The base contract covers 6 diesel-powered sweepers plus an 8-year maintenance contract. Bidders may also submit an authorised variant with 6 electric-powered sweepers plus an 8-year maintenance contract. 3 machines must be fitted with a third weed brush at the front, while 3 machines are required without it. As the machines will operate in urban environments, high manoeuvrability and compact dimensions are important. Requirements include reliability, quality materials, a sturdy sweeping construction to limit breakage and impact damage, high driver and passenger comfort with good seats, visibility, climate control and easy access, plus simple operation and daily maintenance. The vehicles will be registered as machines and are exempt from annual inspection.
