Heilig Hart Hospital in Lier wishes to replace its bedpan washers. The contract covers the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of bedpan shredders. A shredder is a device that processes human excretions collected in pulp material, which are then discharged through the sewer system. The pulp material is placed in the device together with its contents and ground into small particles, offering a hygienic alternative to bedpan washers. The contractor must deliver the units ready for use, including all necessary connections, tests and user instruction. Deliveries are spread over the full contract duration and currently total 24 units, with 4 purchased per year over a planned 6-year replacement period. The contract also includes preventive maintenance and the supply of pulp consumables for at least 2 years.
