Description

UAntwerpen-ELCAT beoogt het ontwerp en de constructie van een skid met elektrolyse stack, dewelke bedoeld is voor de elektrochemische conversie van CO2 in zero gap modus bij hoge druk en temperatuur. Dit prototype zal ontwikkeld worden in de frame van het Catalisti Moonshot programma en het LSI project - ELECTRA. Het volledige eigendom zal toebehoren aan UAntwerpen-ELCAT en zal geïnstalleerd worden op BlueApp. Deze TRL 6 pilootplant zal de volledige infrastructuur en onderdelen bevatten die noodzakelijk zijn om de direct elektrochemische omzetting van CO2 met als einddoel om in kg/u range producten (CO, ethyleen, enz.) te leveren als output binnen het ELECTRA project. De voorziene pilootplant zal een unieke, volledige geautomatiseerde testfaciliteit vormen in Vlaanderen die zal toestaan om elektrolyseur technologie te testen onder industrieel relevante omstandigheden (hoge, variabele stroom, hoge T en P, direct gebruik van rookgassen, enz.). Het doel van deze procedure is om één partner te kiezen dewelke verantwoordelijk zal zijn voor het ontwerp en de bouw van deze modulaire elektrolyse plant (TRL6) voor onderzoek en ontwikkeling. Het ontwerp en de bouw en het gehele proces richting het uiteindelijk ontwerp en de constructie moet voldoen aan de vereisten die gegeven worden in het bestek.
