Een belangrijke stap hierin is de verkenning van zogenaamde drone-in a-box oplossingen. Automatische drones kunnen immers sneller en efficiënter worden ingezet ter ondersteuning van operationele taken, zoals incidentrespons, ordehandhaving, korps- of controleacties, opsporingen, ongeval in kaart brengen,… Dit draagt niet alleen bij aan een snellere responstijd, maar verhoogt ook de inzetbaarheid van het drone team en verbetert de informatiepositie op het terrein. Hiermee beoogt Politiezone Antwerpen te evolueren naar een 24/7 werking met eigen piloten met quasi volledige dekking van automatische drones boven zijn grondgebied. Daarnaast wil Politiezone Antwerpen ook deze drone inzet faciliteren voor andere politiezones in het kader van het interzonale samenwerkingsverband. Politiezone Antwerpen wenst een geïntegreerde drone-in-a-box (DiaB) oplossing te voorzien ter ondersteuning van de operationele werking.
