Brandweerzone Kempen wenst over te gaan tot de aankoop van een bosbrandweervoertuig. De bosbrandweerwagen 4.000l 4x4 zal voornamelijk ingezet worden om bluswerkzaamheden te verrichten bij natuurbrandbestrijding in moeilijk terrein. Inzetten bij beperkte Technische interventies zijn eveneens mogelijk (stormschade, …) Dit voertuig is tevens uitgerust om de bemanning veilig deze werkzaamheden te kunnen laten uitvoeren, enerzijds doordat het voertuig zich ‘duidelijk’ gesignaleerd op de openbare weg kan opstellen, anderzijds door de cabine te beschouwen als een ‘veilige plaats’ bij een overtrekkend vuurfront.
