The buyer is renewing the balance beam structures of both Noordkasteel bridges (eastern and western) in Antwerp, at Oosterweelsteenweg. The intervention is necessary to keep guaranteeing the originally intended lifespan of the bridges. The scope includes replacing the balance arms and boxes with new welded truss balances, renewing tie rods, repairing A-hinge anchorings, replacing the main pivot points of the eastern bridge (A+B+C+D bearings), optimising all bearings on both bridges, and all required demolition and assembly works, while retaining the existing flights, seat, rack beams, drive and electrical installations. The steel producer must hold a valid EN-ISO 9001 certified quality system from an accredited certification body.
