Ground investigation works for the Elbe Side Canal estuary funnel (ESK-km 115.2)

The buyer Wasserstrassen-Neubauamt Magdeburg awarded a contract for ground investigation works at the estuary funnel of the Elbe Side Canal at km 115.2. The works cover the western bank with 7 small driven boreholes (BS 1 to BS 7) and 7 heavy dynamic probing tests (DPH 1 to DPH 7) to DIN EN ISO 22476-2, each to a depth of 15.00 m below ground level or to equipment capacity. On the eastern bank the works include 5 cased machine dry-drilling boreholes with fixed casing to a final depth of 20.00 m, 5 CPT cone penetration tests to DIN EN ISO 22476-1, 3 small driven boreholes (BS 8 to BS 10) and 3 heavy dynamic probing tests (DPH 8 to DPH 10).
