The need for security psychiatry in the health company/development perspectiveOverordna plan for Security Psychiatry in Norway points to an increase in the number of sentenced to forced mental health care also on timed judgements. More new judgements will be handed down than the number of sentences ceased. There is therefore an increased need for security places at both local and regional levels in the work with security psychiatry in Norway.The current Security Post is characterised by inappropriate systems connected to area, security measures, buildings and outside areas. It is for small premises to necessary functions so that concurrency conflicts occur. There is a lack of patient baths and too few and different screening rooms set up against the need. Access and reception rooms are inappropriate, and there is a lack and inadequate screened outside area on the same level. In the current area, the zone division does not exist. There is an increasing need to be able to divide into zones with, among other things, being able to divide into periods when women also have in the department or have patients with different screening needs connected to noise and impressions. New areas will facilitate buildings, areas and technology that can contribute to increased quality, patient safety and safety for both employees and patients.
